Today, at the behest of the leader of the PP Velichie, Mr. Ivelin Mihailov, the adviser of the parliamentary group, Mr. Kolyo Paramov, visited the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sofia. He offered heartfelt condolences to His Excellency Ambassador Ali Reza Irvash on the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
During the meeting, Mr. Paramov emphasized the difficult geopolitical situation, stressing:
"This war is one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. The tragedy of the killing of over 150 schoolgirls is a dark beginning with an undoubtedly heavy end - an event that should never have been allowed!"
His Excellency Ambassador Ali Reza Irvash accepted with gratitude the gesture, which is among the first official political acts of empathy from the Bulgarian side.
"The ambassador warmly accepted this first political gesture from Bulgaria, as well as our sincere condolences," shared Mr. Kolyo Paramov after the meeting.
